Every year, the NSSR organizes the Sports Gala. The Sports Gala is open to everyone.
During this event, the Student Athlete of the Year will be announced.
Student sports associations can nominate candidates in advance. The winner of the Student Athlete of the Year award will be determined by a jury.

On Wednesday, December 11, 2024, the NSSR is hosting the spectacular Sports Gala at the iconic Vasim venue in Nijmegen. This year’s gala will feature a disco theme, so get ready for a sparkling evening!
Put on your best outfit—chic remains the dress code—and prepare for an unforgettable night full of fun, music, and celebration. From 9:00 PM to 2:00 AM, enjoy an evening with an open bar, so drinks are included. Together, we’ll toast to all the successes of the year! Tickets cost just €45.50 and are limited, so make sure to grab yours quickly. Don’t miss this special evening to celebrate your sports achievements with fellow students!
